Welcome to the Developmental Moral Psychology Lab at Cornell!

We research the development of morality across the lifespan: Why do children begin to help others? How do children and adults develop ideas about right and wrong? How do our moral judgments guide our emotions and actions? To answer these questions, our lab uses observations, interviews, experiments, and survey methods to study infants, children, adolescents, and adults.
